Each home organizing project begins with a needs assessment and planning discussion that includes a tour of the areas of concern. This lays the foundation for our work together. Our first 4-hour organizing session starts with a 15-30 minute walkthrough. You can ask questions, we'll talk through what's working and not working about the space(s), I'll estimate how long it would take to tackle the entire project, then we pick an area to work on for the rest of the session.



We'll pull all items out and sort them into categories. Starting from a blank slate allows us to reimagine the form and function of the space, and seeing everything out will give you a better understanding of what you own. we will talk about your lifestyle as it relates to your organizing needs: What do you want? What is working? What is not working? We then discuss your habits and preferences: Do you like open or closed storage? Do you like to hang your jeans or fold them? When we have a sense of what your needs and space limitations are, we come up with a personalized, step-by-step plan detailing what we are going to do and how we are going to do it.


I coach you through the process of deciding what to keep, toss, store, or donate. we start sorting and editing items in the space. If we are working side-by-side with you, it is our role to keep you focused and efficient, and prevent you from getting overwhelmed. If we are working on our own, we are sorting according to the plan that we developed together. This part of the process usually takes up the bulk of the session.
